Nirajan Malla

I am a full-stack software engineer based in Nawalpur, Nepal. I work across the stack: React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the frontend, and Node, Nest.js, REST APIs, or Firebase on the backend. Over the last few years I have shipped more than 50 projects for small teams and independent brands.

I started freelancing in late 2022 while finishing a BSc in Computer Science and Information Technology at Tribhuvan University, but it stayed a side project until I graduated in 2025. Before that I built full-stack products and joined hackathons at Builder's Academy, took over and finished another developer's work on semesterone.com at WebFriend, and completed an academic internship at Network Sansar. Once the degree was done, freelancing became the main work.

Shopify is the part of that work people usually hear about. I build custom storefronts with Liquid, metafields, and metaobjects, and I like the point where a store becomes something the client can run on their own. It is a specialization inside the full-stack work, and application projects take up the rest.

I care about the details that are easy to skip: page speed, accessibility, and whether search engines can find the work. A product should load quickly and work for everyone. I write code the next developer can read, and I keep communication clear, since most of my clients are remote and in different time zones.
